Surgical option is apt for patients who have tried all the other non surgical approaches to weight loss with no positive results. And elements like changes in eating habits, lifestyle changes and increased physical activity can bring about satisfying weight loss. Many obese individuals consider surgery as an obesity treatment procedure just like diet pills or weight loss plans. But it’s not so. Most of us are unaware of its risks and complications.

Before you say ‘Surgery’

See if you are unlikely to lose weight with non surgical treatments

Have met a doctor and discussed about the effects and procedures

Well read and aware of how life changes after the surgery

Agreed to the lifestyle patterns and diet changes which is going to be permanent

Have talked about serious complications, dietary measures and surgery failures at times

Ready for life long medical follow up

Can you undergo a Surgery?

You can if you have a BMI above 35

Have physical discomforts related to obesity like walking, employment etc

Have high risk diseases related linked to obesity

In

such cases health practitioners discuss more about the surgery and see if you are willing to make changes in your unhealthy life.

Side effects of the Surgery

Vomiting due to small stomach overstretched by food intake

Dumping syndrome where stomach contents move fast through the intestine

Twenty percent of patients who undergo surgeries follow up to correct complications

One third of obese patients who undergo gastric surgeries suffer gallstones

30 percent of people develop nutritional deficiencies

Bloating, diarrhea, gas and dizziness are the main side effects

I don’t care what anyone says, working out can be downright boring. We all want to stay in shape, but if we get stuck in the same old rut, boredom can set in and cause our workouts to become less productive and in some cases, lead us to take longer and longer breaks between workouts. I have to admit, it has happened to me on occasion.

I would get up in the morning, hit the gym, and wait. Wait in traffic, wait for people to finish up on equipment that I wanted to use, and waiting for the gym to update the ancient equipment it DID have. Every visit was the same tired scenario. I would do a set, go get a drink, come back, do another set, hit the bathroom…you get the idea. It is not that I wasn’t serious about my workouts, it is just that the gym atmosphere, in my opinion, leads many to the same “drone like” activities. Sometimes, we just need some EXCITEMENT… something to shake things up and help reinvigorate our love for working out. Two things can help make that happen. One is the actual workout itself. Simply standing in place and lifting a dumbbell does not exactly qualify as an EXCITING workout. The second thing is the actual results you get from the workout itself. Heck, if you are getting amazing results, you probably will keep doing what it is that you are doing. After all, losing weight, gaining muscle, and looking great are the goals of our workout program, aren’t? Well, I want to share something with you that will help accomplish both of these tasks with flying colors. Introducing:

The Kettlebell.

For the uninitiated, kettlebells are Russian in origin and they resemble bowling walls except they have a large handle coming out of the top. While these things have been around for centuries they have only newly been introduced to the US within the last 10 years. One thing is for certain, these things are anything but boring.

The main exercise with the kettlebell is called the swing. You basically take the bell by the handles and swing it from between your legs and forward and up to your eye level or as high as straight overhead. Sound a little different than the norm you are used to? It is, and once you try it, you will see just how different. This one exercise is not only fun, but an INCREDIBLE workout. Your calves, hamstrings, quads, back, arms, shoulders….YEP, your ENTIRE body gets a thorough workout. This is just ONE workout of many you can do with this unique and effective piece of equipment.

The kettlebell is just one object, but if you take some time and learn a few of the ways you can use it, I can promise that you will NEVER be bored again. Aside from taking boring out of your workout vernacular, the kettlebell may just get you in the best shape of your life in less time than anything you have tried before. Pick up a kettlebell and get swinging!

This is Part IV of this series on Diet Preparation. In this article I am going to give you a few ideas on how to improve your sleep environment. We lose countless hours of good and effective sleep when the environment in which we are trying to sleep isn’t conducive to getting a good night’s sleep. Here are a few pointers on how to make sure your surroundings are going to aid you and not hinder you in getting a good night’s sleep.

* First, make sure your bed is large enough and comfortable. If you are disturbed by a restless bedmate, switch to a queen- or king-size bed. Test different types of mattresses.

* Second, therapeutic shaped foam pillows that cradle your neck or extra pillows that help you sleep on your side. Get comfortable cotton sheets.

* Third, make your bedroom primarily a place for sleeping. It is not a good idea to use your bed for paying bills, doing work, etc. Help your body recognize that this is a place for rest or intimacy.

* Fourth, keep your bedroom peaceful and comfortable. Make sure your room is well ventilated and the

temperature consistent. And try to keep it quiet. You could use a fan or a “white noise” machine to help block outside noises.

* Fifth, hide your clock. A big, illuminated digital clock may cause you to focus on the time and make you feel stressed and anxious. Place your clock so you can’t see the time when you are in bed.

These are five eas-to-implement ideas that will help you create a better environment that will be conducive to a good night’s rest. And getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most overlooked elements in the entire weight loss discussion today. Implement thses five ideas, and you will be well on your way to creating the environment you need.

Emotional eating habits thatkeep us overweight with the subconscious programmingthat causes us to stuff our feelings with food. In thisarticle, we will explore another common pattern amongoverweight people: the use of food to substitute forcreative expression. Abraham Maslow, one of the founders ofhumanistic psychology, is often credited with describingcreativity as a basic human need comparable to the needs forfood and shelter, in his theory of the hierarchy of needs. Although his theory remains controversial, I have experiencedwith many clients that this need appears to be very real. Children, we notice, are constantly involved, if given theopportunity, in creative play. We adults, however, havefrequently learned to suppress our creative instincts, andall too often, to substitute eating for creativity. Here’s aquestionnaire to determine if this is a pattern you or afriend has experienced.

• Do you find yourself eating out of sheer boredom?

• Do you watch two or more hours of television per day?

• Do you lack an exciting hobby or creative interest?

• Do you put down your occasional experiments in creativeexpression as amateurish or a waste of time?

• Do you often eat snacks while reading or watchingtelevision when you are not truly hungry?

If you answered any of these questions in the affirmativethen you may suffer this type of programming. Chances arethat this programming began in childhood, when ourcaregivers, instead of encouraging our creativity, suppressedthis essential self-expression with harsh criticism, neglect,or even ridicule. While these experiences may have long agopassed out of our conscious recollection, the subconsciousmind does not forget. So these programs can continue tostrangle our creativity throughout our lives.

The solution? Through hypnosis therapy we can use simpleinstructions to access these memories in the subconsciousmind and rescue the child from these events. Then we providethat inner child with new experiences of being loved andsupported for their creative expression by an inner family orby the client’s adult self.

For example, Bob finds eating in front of the television inthe early evening a bad eating habit he wishes to change. Hecan’t remember ever having a hobby. We descend in a lighttrance to the first time his creativity was made wrong. Hediscovers a memory in which as a small boy he is ridiculed bysome neighborhood boys for his drawings, which they label as“silly and girlish.” Feeling intensely ashamed, hedetermines to stifle these expressions. Our first task is torescue this boy from these boys and let his adult self andthe therapist assure him that his drawing ability is awonderful gift. We then insert the counter-programmingsuggestion that his drawings are an expression of his“manliness and courage.” This will help erase the core beliefimplanted by these boys.

Next we take his drawings to his parents in hopes of winningtheir approval for his art. I ask if his parents would liketo hang his pictures on the fridge. Their response is cool, since mother is obsessed with her own pain and dad is a“busy” alcoholic. In this case, my client took greatpleasure in firing his father. Then he addressed his motherwith a tearful appeal for her support, before realizing thatshe would have to be retired and replaced with his adultself. These intensely emotional confrontations with parentalfigures is often unpleasant for my clients but is essentialin helping the inner child to disengage from the need forparental approval, and to help the child bond to the adultself, and, where necessary, to new inner

parents.

Then I encouraged Bob’s adult self to access this childthrough gentle self hypnosis techniques for a few minutes inthe early evening and create some drawings. I greatlyincreased our chances of success by encouraging him to buybrightly colored magic markers and quality pens, pencils, anddrawing paper. We also determined what room in the house isbest for some quiet and undisturbed creativity. I theninstructed his adult self to enjoy this creative activity, which he will find so much more exciting than the television, while praising his inner child for the effort. This is notthe time for a critical evaluation, but for warmencouragement. I instructed him to bring one of his drawingsto me, and to hang all of them on his frig at home. Soon histelevision watching was down by more than half, and so werethe eating patterns.

Of course, we need to remind clients over and over thatproducing a Van Gogh is not the goal of the process. Nor dowe use the oft-repeated mantra “practice makes perfect” whichhas destroyed thousands of creative inspirations in myopinion. The real goal is feeling good while expressingone’s creative instincts. To the extent that the client’sfriends and family can be enrolled in support of thiscreative expression, we encourage this involvement. But theclient’s adult self is the primary resource for this process.

For some clients whose belief system includes reincarnation,we can journey back to a past life in which the client wasengaged in a specific creative activity which is of interestto the client. After accessing a creative ability which theclient is ready to bring forward, we can enter theseabilities into the body of the client for instant access. Some of the abilities brought forward include piano playing, dance, art, even leadership skills and public speaking. Ofcourse there is no substitute for practicing these abilities, and classes in creativity are also to be encouraged. Butthis process makes it much easier and more fun to developthese abilities with a minimum of drills and lessons. Obviously, the development of these creative abilities doesfar more for my clients than simply altering their eatinghabits. These gifts enrich lives at every level.

This outlines some of the ways we can solve the problem of emotional eating habits. While there aremany sources of destructive emotional eating habits besidesthose mentioned here, the vast majority of my clients in 25years of experience in hypnotherapy have some problem withinfantile eating, stuffing feelings with food, andsuppressing creativity.

We hypnotists do not offer a magic bullet, a simple pill tocause weight to fall off. All of our methods should be usedin conjunction with a well informed plan for diet andexercise, hopefully with the guidance of a medical doctor orother health professional. These hypnotic techniques canhowever, make the difference between a lifetime of dietingand weight obsession and having lifelong healthy eating andliving habits which can allow your life to be about manythings…but not about controlling your appetite and youreating. Good luck on your journey.

Can being sleep deprived cause you to gain weight? Yes! Many people don’t realize the many health implications of sleep deprivation. It may even be hindering your fat loss efforts.

How does sleep (or sleep deprivation) affect your weight loss efforts?

Here are just a few reasons why sleeping may be the missing link to your weight loss efforts:

1. When you’re tired, it is so much harder to make healthy choices. I’m not sure if this is more about psychology or physiology or a combination of both. However, I know I have experienced it firsthand. When I get a good night’s sleep, sticking to my regular exercise and healthy eating routine is a cinch. But when I’m sleep deprived, I somehow think that chocolate and sugar will make me feel better. The truth is, it never does! It actually makes me feel worse. Much worse, because the blood sugar highs and lows makes me more tired and cranky than before I ate the sweets.

2. Now for some science. Researchers from several separate studies have found a link between sleep and the hormones that influence our eating behavior. Two specific hormones are involved. Ghrelin is responsible for feelings of hunger. Leptin tells the brain when it’s time to stop. When you’re sleep deprived, your ghrelin levels increase at the same time that your leptin levels decrease. The result is an increased craving for food and not feeling full (a hormone disaster as far as staying on track with a healthy eating plan). Nothing is worse than craving food and being hungry at the same time.

3. Many people don’t know this, but your body adjusts itself based on your circadian rhythms and the amount of sunlight outside. Without getting too deep into the science, these rhythms and light tell your body to physically recover approximately between the hours of 10pm-2am and to mentally recover approximately between 2am-6am. If you aren’t getting to bed until 12am, you are missing out on 2 crucial hours of physical repair. This can result in all sorts of aches and pains that do not get better, no matter what you try. I have seen

clients relieve bad backs and aching joints by just getting to bed by 10pm. I have even seen people get smarter by sleeping til 6am (ok, I made this last statement up but wouldn’t that be great?).

All kidding aside, I have seen people act consistently sharper when they are well rested.

How are you going to get a good night’s sleep to ensure you are not sabotaging your weight loss efforts?

Here are a few tips for getting a good night’s sleep:

1. Don’t watch TV before bed. You may not realize how fired up the news or your favorite TV show gets you before bed time. Instead grab a book or your favorite magazine and read in bed. This works wonders, especially a good fiction book that will help you forget the day’s events.

2. Cut your caffeine intake early in the day. An afternoon coffee or tea can still be racing through your blood stream at 10pm. Cut out your last caffeinated beverage by noon. This includes all coffee and teas (except herbal teas). Once you catch up on your sleep, you won’t be so dependent on your afternoon java kick.

3. Avoid Sugar before bed. (You were avoiding sugar anyway right?) Consuming sugar right before bed leads to a blood sugar roller coaster ride, potentially waking you up in the middle of the night due to a blood sugar low.

4. Put your work away before bed. There is nothing worse than a racing mind before bed. Crunching numbers and reading work documents right before bed may lead to dreams about work (or nightmares). End all work at least 2 hours before bed. If this is not possible for you, you may need to reassess your work schedule a bit.

Whatever the adjustments are for you, remember, sleep may just be the missing link in your nutrition, exercise and health regimen. Stick to your Diet Solution Meal Plans and tuck yourself in at 10pm each night and you will be well on your way to fat loss success.

Are you making losing weight harder than it has to be? One of the most important keys to weight loss success is ensuring that you are not standing in your own way. When you eliminate self-sabotaging behaviors, you are free to focus on external challenges and temptations rather than wasting time on self-created issues.

In this article, we will discuss three of the most common physical ways you can sabotage yourself.

Booby trapping your cabinets

One of the most common reasons for diet failures is bringing unhealthy foods into the house. You may bring a package of cookies home and say it’s for the kids, but admit it: Some of those cookies will probably end up in your mouth. It’s best to leave the cookies on the store shelf and not lead yourself into temptation.

Instead, make sure that you are setting yourself up to win in the nutrition arena. Be sure that you have plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, and low-fat dairy products in your home. That way, you will reach for food that will satisfy you inside and out when you are hungry rather than go for the foods that just satisfy your tongue.

Creating ‘bottomless food pits’

A bottomless food pit is an environment in which a large quantity of unhealthy food is made available to you in one sitting. Examples are buffets, whole pizzas, tubs of buttered popcorn, boxes of cookies, and bags of potato chips.

If you have a hard time controlling your food intake, then you will be more likely to overeat when faced with a bottomless food pit. I remember going to the movies on more than one occasion when I was overweight and sitting down with a tub of buttered popcorn. I’d become so engrossed in the movie that I didn’t notice the robotic way that I was taking popcorn from the tub and putting it into my mouth. I only became conscious of what I was doing when my hand scraped the bottom of the empty tub.

You want to eat consciously and enjoy the experience. If you do want to enjoy popcorn at the movies, then order the smallest size. If you must have cookies or potato chips, then

have the snack size (not the grab bag size, which can contain 2 servings or more).

If you are going to a buffet, be sure to have an apple or other piece of fruit before you leave home. That way, you can decide which items you will have rationally rather than be at the mercy of a ravenous appetite when you get to the buffet!

Sleeping with the enemy

While it is true that some fast food restaurants are offering healthy items on their menus today, most menu items are still either fatty, salty, sugary, or a combination of the three. Be honest: If you go into Burger King and smell the hamburgers and fries, how likely is it that you will order a salad? Again, you don’t want to lead yourself into temptation.

However if you must go to a fast food restaurant, then I recommend that you check out the establishment’s Web site beforehand. Usually, they will post the menu and provide nutritional statistics on the items they offer. You can decide ahead of time what you will have. Then, go to the drive thru to get it. That way, you won’t be tempted by the smells of the unhealthy stuff.

The above pitfalls are just a few challenges you will need to handle on your way to achieving your goals. The better you can handle these challenges, the sooner you will enjoy the spoils of victory: A healthier, fitter body.

Although weight loss is importance to many people, being able to find a lose weight diet plan that you can stick to can be a challenging experience. Logically, most people know that if you cut out unhealthy fats and add more fruits and vegetables to your normal eating habits, you will certainly lose body fat. However, if the diet plan is to drastic a change from your typical eating patterns, chances are that you will quit the diet and go back to your normal ways after a few days. Like most habits, modifying your eating patterns requires you to stick to it for about 21 days in order to make it last. So in order to maximize the possibility of that happening, you owe to yourself to choose a lose weight diet plan that you will be able to faithfully follow for about three weeks.

1. Drink a large glass of cold water before each meal. If you do just this one action and change nothing else about your eating habits, you will still lose weight. Drinking a glass of water at the beginning of each meal will shorten the amount of time it takes for you to feel full. Once the stomach contains a certain amount of content (both solid foods and fluids), it sends a signal to the brain telling it that it is satiated and to discontinue eating. So if you fill your stomach with water, you will reduce the amount of food that you will need to consume before triggering that signal. Also, it is important to drink cold water because in order for the body to use the water, it needs to raise the temperature up to your body temperature. This requires energy and will expend calories to will doing so.

2. Eat your vegetables first. Vegetables tend to have lower amounts of calories

but provide a massive nutrient and antioxidant punch. Unfortunately most people don’t eat anywhere near the amount of vegetables that they should be. People tend to fill up on fats, unhealthy proteins, and simple carbs (like bread, pasta, and rice), and leave the vegetables for last. By eating your vegetables first, you are ensuring that you are at least getting some nutritious food into your body. Also, vegetables tend to be filling, so once you eat them, you will have less room for the unhealthy foods that you are generally turning to.

3. Don’t eat anything within 2 hours of going to bed. This is hard for many people who enjoy their late-night snacks. The problem is that once you go to sleep, your metabolism drops severely. So if you are gorging on food right before bedtime, you aren’t giving your body the opportunity to burn off those calories. The end result is that your body will convert these extra calories into body fat. If you have a sweet tooth and just have to have something at night, try a calorie-free treat like sugar-free Jello.

You don’t need to follow an overly-strict lose weight diet plan like the cabbage diet. Forcing yourself into drastically different diet plan will cause you to quickly drop the diet after a few days. Instead of going that route, try to stick to just one or two changes at a time. Once those changes become part of your daily habits, then feel free to add another one or two changes. In no time, you will be practicing several diet changes that will make it almost impossible to add unwanted body fat.

While many of us would love to shed a few unwanted pounds, we lack a solid and consistent plan of action to help us get results. Instead, we fall into the category of becoming the casual dieter where we maintain a healthy diet or maybe even an exercise program for a bit of time but then due to lack of results or interest we go back to our more unhealthy ways.

Losing as much as 10 pounds of fat quickly is far from impossible but you have to follow some simple guidelines in order to make it happen and most importantly you need to be consistent with your plan. Below are five simple techniques that you can begin implementing today to lose 10 pounds quickly.

1. Be Active – Increasing your physical activity is the quickest and surest way to lose weight. I am not talking about just pacing while you’re on the phone at the office but rather a true rigorous exercise program. This can include something as simple as 20 to 30 minutes of jumping jacks in your office if that’s the only space you have to utilize. The most important thing is to get your heart rate up and burn off those calories.

2. Maintain a PMA – A positive mental attitude, or PMA, is something that is extremely important to maintain when you’re undertaking an exercise and weight loss program. It is easy to become discouraged if you don’t experience the results you want very quickly. It is helpful to grab a book from your local library on motivation to help keep your spirits up while you’re working

your program.

3. Go Mediterranean – The diets of countries that are in the Mediterranean region have been found to be almost perfect for maintaining a healthy weight and avoiding such ailments as heart disease which plague an ever increasing number of people in the US. Many diet books are available that can help you begin to adopt this style of eating to help ensure consistent and long-term weight loss

4. Write down your daily meals, DAILY! – Another great technique that is extremely effective at helping folks lose unwanted pounds is to keep a daily log of everything that you consume. Even better, write down the foods BEFORE you eat them. You are much more likely to eat less if you actually see the amount of food you are about to consume on paper. Sharing these logs with a friend is another way to keep you honest and on track as well. Anyone who is trying to lose weight would probably rather not show a piece of paper that shows they just consumed 10 Oreo cookies and a slice of apple pie.

5. Tell others about your weight loss goals – Finally, share your weight loss goals with friends and family. Once you make this public, it will be harder for you to cheat on your new program around those they know your goals. These individuals in your life can help support you and keep you on track throughout the process as well.

I really like Dr. Phil, so I wanted to like his new book on weight loss. And I do like some of it, however, there’s a big problem with the chapter on what to eat. Dr. Phil proposes exactly the same eating plan for everyone. This will NOT work!

His plan may include too many calories for some people, mostly small-framed people. I was actually eating a very similar amount of food at one time, watching my fat intake carefully, eating plenty of fiber, and my weight wouldn’t budge. When I joined Weight Watchers, I learned that I was eating too much (for someone my size) to lose weight. After following their suggestions, I eventually lost 40 pounds and have maintained a healthy weight for almost 5 years.

Dr. Phil’s plan also actually provides too few calories for many people to be successful. Sound impossible? Let me explain.

Your body needs a certain number of calories to sustain normal functions like pumping blood, breathing, and digesting food (called your basal metabolic rate, or BMR.) This need actually depends on your current weight. The heavier you are, the more calories your body needs just to function, even at rest. There are several websites to visit for a BMR calculator and more information on this subject. You also burn calories during exercise; your adjusted caloric needs including your activity level is called the AMR (active metabolic rate). Some of the sites you’ll find will calculate both your BMR and AMR, so keep looking if you don’t see AMR on the first one you hit. As you lose weight, your BMR and AMR will drop.

We all know that if we eat too much, we gain weight. We also all know that if we eat way too little, we can starve to death. But somewhere in between, we can lose weight healthfully. Our bodies are smart enough to know where that range is and to protect us if we eat too little. (It also tries to protect us from eating too much. That’s what feeling uncomfortably stuffed is all about!) If you eat a little below your AMR, you can lose weight healthfully. If

you eat farther below, your body will protect you by reducing your BMR (and AMR) to conserve energy, and you’ll stop losing weight. Eat too far below, and you’ll start losing again-but you’re starving yourself.

What does this mean? You must eat enough to lose weight healthfully! If you eat too few calories, you’ll likely either get stuck on a plateau, or you’ll lose weight too fast with potential health consequences. A healthy rate of weight loss is no more than 2 pounds per week average, after the first 2-3 weeks on a plan. A good recommendation for healthy weight loss is to eat 500 calories under your AMR (not below your BMR!) and to remember to recalculate your needs as you lose weight (recalculate after every 25 pounds lost, if you get stuck and are not losing, or if you increase your activity significantly).

Dr. Phil doesn’t provide different plans based on your starting weight and activity level, and he is against counting calories (or exchanges or Points.) But without knowing your approximate AMR and calculating the calories (or exchanges or Points) in a food plan, it’s impossible to know how much food to eat to start out. And without recalculating your AMR as you lose and adjusting your food plan accordingly, it’s difficult to keep losing weight at the proper rate. He makes no mention of changing your food plan until you reach your final goal. But people who have a significant amount to lose will need to adjust their calorie intake several times before reaching goal.

One size does NOT fit all! Frankly I am quite surprised nobody told him this before he published! If you are serious about losing weight healthfully, either calculate this for yourself or join a program (like Weight Watchers) where they teach you how much to eat without restricting your food choices. With just a little information about yourself and your body, you can do this RIGHT.

Thankfully, winter does not last forever! In the spring there is no more temptation to dip into the white flour canister and whip up biscuits and gravy or grandma’s banana bread. Ah, as the daylight hours grow longer, we lose the urge to rummage through the fridge for high carb “no-no’s.” With the onset of spring, thick, sweet, hot, heavy, bloating, high glycemic platters of food suddenly have no appeal!

And, to coin a phrase borrowed from a popular shark film, “just as you thought it was safe to go back on your diet…” here comes spring! The fabled season of birth and renewal, of life, regeneration, energy and love has a down side for some. Everything smells fresh and sweet; tender green grass, fragrant new flower buds, spring rain carried along on gentle breezes. We start moving again, we are out sneezing from allergies, hustling and bustling. We use more energy and our schedules pick up in intensity. Life in general increases…and so do our appetites.

Now, instead of wanting comfort foods on a dark, cold day, we need an “energy snack” while we are on the run. We expel more energy than we have for the past two or three months and our “snack” triggers are activated. After all, we are creatures of nature and we respond to the seasonal cycles. We are instinctively following nature’s urges to forage through the season’s fresh and plentiful bounty. Like the bear, we want to hunt out snacks after winter’s hibernation. Like the cattle and hooved creatures of

the field and plains, we seek energy through munching, nibbling, grazing and, yes, foraging.

However, as low carbers, we are in a terrific position…this negative cycle for high carbers is actually a positive for us! Eating the high carb way is a major disadvantage during spring because they reach for unhealthy, carb-laden foods. Although we must be mindful of where we forage and graze, low carbers have a distinct advantage over those who eat the “old” way. Yes, a distinct advantage indeed! As long as we watch our meal portions, and only snack when we are truly hungry or “empty,” then spring is our smorgasboard. Graze through the fresh salad greens and tender dark green veggies, root through the nuts and berries, forage for pork rinds, bacon bits and a myriad of cheeses, and rejoice in the low-carb lifestyle we have chosen!

Spring symbolizes renewal and vitality…so enjoy renewing your fridge’s crisper bin, meat tray, and pantry. Feel the vitality of the low carb way of life, and eat guilt-free. Forage to your heart’s content–literally.
