Why Brazilian Diet Pills Have Become and Overnight Sensation: The Hidden Danger

Brazilian Diet Pills Fad – Buyer Beware

Anyone familiar with the latest diet pills and methods has probably heard of the latest concern (or frenzy) on the weightloss market: Brazilian Diet Pills.

Brazilian Diet Pills, specifically certain brands, seem to have been wreaking havoc on people’s health around the world. And yet people are still searching for them on the internet in hopes of shedding weight unusually fast.

Let’s start from the beginning. A Brazilian company began marketing a particular “all natural” diet pill which had recommended dosages of a specific color coded pill to be taken in the morning, and a specific color coded pill to be taken at night. The dosages are varied according to where you are in your weight loss goals, as well as what your individual preferences or health issue are.

These diet pills are still marketed as a “Magic Pill”. We all know there is no such thing. We want to believe that, which is why this product has seen some interest, but it quite simply is not true – and not without its price.

My prediction is, the FDA will get wind of this fairly soon, and put a ban or strict limitations on this product, just as they did with Ephedra. The signs are all around. Women are reporting on forums that people they know have taken the Brazilian Diet Pill and while they have dropped significant amounts of weight in a short period, many people have suffered fainting spells, heart palpitations and even cardiac arrests, presumably linked to the ingestion of this weightloss product.

An analysis on the pills has shown trace amounts of illegal amphetamines, as well as prescription antidepressants and even a tranquilizer in the night time pills, to counteract the effects of the speed you’ve taken during the day in the daytime formula, so that you can actually sleep.

The really sad part of this is, the product is marketed as “Blended with Natural Herbs from the Rainforest”, when in fact chemical analysis has

shown man made and extremely dangerous and volatile substances.

Some people do know about the substances in this product, and due to the societal pressure to be thin, have still chosen to purchase and use it, in hopes of quickly slimming down. A word of caution: While this product may in fact help you to quickly shed unwanted excess pounds, it also has a real potential to become addictive, since it contains addictive controlled substances (amphetamines – or speed) which the human body becomes accustomed to, and starts to need more and more of just to sustain the weight loss and appetite loss.

My advice is, if you really want to lose weight, and you want to be safe – stay away from these Brazilian Diet products. We are just now beginning to see the harmful and even life threatening effects, and I believe we may even see government agency intervention soon if the reports of extreme side effects keep coming in.

If you have taken this product and have experienced negative effects, you may want to contact the FDA or even the Better Business Bureau. On the contrary, if you have taken one of these products and had exceptional results without a wink of side effects, by all means get that information out to the right people as well.

A good alternative to this type of fad product is to just go for what you know is safe. There are some EXCELLENT and very safe, non-addictive diet aids (for example safe herbal alternatives to Fen Phen) on the market today that really are 100% natural and really do reduce your appetite and help you lose the weight you need to quickly and effectively. And, you don’t put it right back on when you stop the product.

That’s my opinion, and I’m sticking to it!

Lose Weight And Save $$$

Many of us have the same reasons for wanting to exercise and lose weight…..look better, feel better, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, decreased risk of some cancers, lower risk of heart disease, etc.

But did you know that making your waistline thinner will also make your wallet fatter?

It’s true! Losing weight will help you earn and save more money. “Studies have consistently shown that obese employees are paid less than normal-weight employees doing similar jobs” (Source: HealthNewsDigest.com – Palo Alto, CA)

A comprehensive study of wages in 1998 found that obese workers earn significantly less than than non-obese employees. How much less? About $3.41 per hour! This discrepancy was found only in those workers who had employer-sponsored health insurance, perhaps suggesting that the higher costs of insuring obese individuals was being passed on to the employees themselves. (Source: Bundorf and co-author Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, assistant professor of medicine at the Center for Health Policy/Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research).

So it’s possible that losing weight could eventually add substantially to your paycheck! But did you know that losing weight may also lower the amount of money you personally pay out in medical costs?

According to a study published in Health Affairs recently, obese Americans pay $732 more for health care each year than do normal-weight adults. So what would you do with an extra $732? Considering that $732 is more than double the annual cost of

a typical membership, it seems that being a gym member pays for itself!

We all have great reasons for wanting to lose that excess weight, and how we have two more: potentially higher wages and lower out-of-pocket medical expenses!

However, we do need to issue one word of warning…..when losing weight you may find that you need to spend some of that ‘saved money’ on a new wardrobe! After all, you will have to buy some new ‘skinny’ clothes!

Hypnosis to Stop The Overweight From Stuffing Feelings by Stuffing Food

We’ve learnedabout “emotional eating habits”, those eating behaviors thatare related to emotional longings rather than the body’s realneed for nutrition. The first thing we explored was theinfantile programming to overeat created by the commonpractice of bottle feeding when accompanied by parentalneglect. We learned how to heal these traumas from infancyand thus permanently change these habits. In this article, Iwill address the use of food to suppress emotions, in otherwords, stuffing one’s feelings with food.

Many of us were raised in families where the expression of feelings was discouraged or even punished. Such phrases as“Shut up or I’ll give you something to cry about!” or“Children should be seen and not heard” represent extreme butregrettably common examples. More frequently however we findthe parent who is simply too busy and stressed to listen totheir children’s feelings and needs. Sometimes childrendiscover on their own that eating some food can help themsuppress their anger and tears. Sometimes they areprogrammed by their parents to eat in this dysfunctional way.

A child cries with pain, or needing some attention, and evena well-meaning mother will shove a bottle into the child’smouth or give her a cookie to silence her. It doesn’t takelong for the child to learn this life-long eating habit.

The solution is to return the client in trance to the time heor she first learned to stuff their feelings with food. Thenwe can bring in the resource of the client’s adult self toencourage the child to express their feelings. As a therapistI will often need to encourage my client to express theirfeelings, anger, tears, etc. in a loud voice. “That’s good! You tell them! You deserve to be heard” are all expressions Ifrequently use. Then we use the empowered adult self alongwith, if necessary, the presence of a new inner parent torespond lovingly and approvingly to the child’s expression offeeling. Then we help the child experience the incomparablejoy of their needs being met. The client is encouraged tofeel in their bodies the fulfillment of these experiences. Finally, we bring this newly developed skill of expressingfeelings into the client’s present life and presentcommunications, sometimes through assertiveness training, sometimes through mental rehearsals. In effect, we aretraining the client’s subconscious mind to express feelingssafely and confidently.

Here’s an example. Sarah (not her real name) is 50 lbs.overweight and reports that stuffing her feelings is aproblem. Her subconscious mind takes us to a memory of hermother and her in the kitchen. She’s crying about a brokentoy, and feeling neglected by Mom who’s on the phone. Momhands her a cookie along with a look that clearly implies sheis not to be disturbed. While this kind of daily neglectrarely gets the media attention of sexual or violent abuseincidents, it is these supposedly mundane events whichrepeated often enough produce the syndrome we’re describingin many of my clients. Our therapeutic intervention beginswith bringing in the client’s adult self. The adult selftells mother that she is making a big mistake. I encourageher to loudly express her anger. Mom is immediatelyremorseful. Then we ask her child to express her tearsagain, which she does out loud. Then, we gently instruct Momin how to listen to her child’s needs and respond to them (IfMother were less warmly responsive it might have beennecessary to release her and replace her with a new mother inthe client’s inner world. This would not significantlyaffect the

adult Sarah’s relationship with her present timemother, but simply provide a symbolic new resource for thechild of the past.) We then embed this new resource in theclient’s body and memory, with words like “Now breathe inthat wonderful feeling as Mommy holds you. And now she’slooking at your broken toy, and promises she’ll get you a newone soon. Now she’s going into your room and helping youfind another toy to play with. Breathe in this wonderfulfeeling. Notice how wonderful it is to let Mom know how youare feeling. This is how she knows to take care of you.” These words are called “counter-programming suggestions” andare essential to re-enforce new core beliefs and behaviors.

Now we link this new resource to every time she feels anuncomfortable feeling in her present life. “Now every timeyou have an unpleasant feeling, the kind that made you wantto eat, we remember how safe it is now to tell your husbandor children how you feel.” I then walk Sarah through a quickrehearsal of expressing this feeling to her husband. I mayeven advise her on the best ways to express her feelings tohim in a style that he finds it easy to respond to. We’llalso follow through in our rehearsal to see that her needsare being met afterwards in some way. I can give her morehelp in her skills of emotional expression. “Perhaps insteadof blaming him we could just tell him how this behavior makesyou feel?” I persist in this rehearsal until hercommunication is comfortable, and it works to get her needsmet. While shouting and crying may be a useful part of theclient’s therapy, opening up the channels of emotionalexpression, it isn’t so useful in our daily family lives.Instead the client needs to develop adult communicationskills, which in many cases have never been properlydeveloped.

We re-program half a dozen similar memories provided bySarah’s subconscious mind in this way. This includes bothrepeated rescue missions for her child of the past and lotsof mental rehearsals of her new communication skills in heradult life. After only four hours of therapy, and two weekslater, Sarah reports. Not only is she eating far less, sheis finding her relationships are changing in dramatic andwonderful ways. Her experiences of victimization andpowerlessness are disappearing, and love and intimacy aregrowing in her family. And she is losing weight. She tellsme however, that the other changes in her life are much moreimportant to her than the lost weight. She is alreadybeginning a life that is no longer ruled by her weightissues. I find it typical of my work with weight issues thatmany other aspects of the client’s life change dramaticallyfor the better as we work, because we are addressing coreproblems, of which weight per se is only one symptom.

In our hypnosis, we will explore how compulsive eating isprogrammed to replace creativity in our lives. How werecognize when this is happening, and how we fix it.

Take help of Alli before obesity takes you

The competitive life of today exerts many demands on us. In this scenario, one not only needs to be intelligent, being presentable is equally important. However the sad story is that a huge population today is suffering from obesity. Fortunately, people are resorting to Alli diet pills for rescue.

But before putting light on the benefits of consuming Alli weight loss pills, let’s check out what obesity is. Obesity may be defined as a condition caused due to excess accumulation of body fat, affecting our body negatively. Three major reasons causing obesity are high calorie diet, sedentary lifestyle and genetics. Obesity can affect our body negatively by causing diseases like obstructive sleep apnea, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus type 2, certain types of cancer, and osteoarthritis. Obesity can also reduce life expectancy.

After reading above, one can realize that the sooner one finds the cure for obesity, the better it is. This is the reason that the consumption of Alli weight loss pills is increasing tremendously. There is another reason which increases the credibility of Alli diet pills. Alli is an FDA approved drug and is sold over the counter. This also increases its credentials.

Now let’s discuss how Alli pills work. Alli (Orlistat) diet pills are same as the prescription diet pills. They work

as a lipase inhibitor obstructing the absorption as well as digestion of extreme dietary fat in the meal we eat. Our body contains certain enzymes which help in the breaking down and later absorption of the fat present in the meal we eat. Ingredients present in Alli diet pills attaches themselves to fat absorbing enzymes present in our body.

Consequently, the consumption of Alli diet pills prevents our body from absorbing around 25% of the fat we eat. The unabsorbed fat moves out of our body naturally.

It is suggested that Alli diet pills should be taken under the supervision of your personal physician. A person who is already facing some medical conditions or is suffering from some ailment is seriously recommended to consult a doctor before taking these pills. This goes same with people allergic to certain medicines.

Alli diet pills are no doubt the sole method of losing weight, after exercise and diet. What it needs is commitment and dedication from your side. A bit of exercise and a controlled diet can actually do wonders for you. Thus, we can say “Stay healthy with Alli diet pills.”

Coping with social anxiety disorder under the camera’s eye.

Every life lost is a sad loss. If we know the person, the death can be a load that some cannot carry without the help of something like Xanax. Then comes Heath Ledger — a man who lived his life in the public eye. It was like we all knew him — so alive one minute; so uncompromisingly dead the next. A few days after his discovery on the 22nd January 2008, the Medical Examiner’s Report was published. Heath was relying on Xanax to keep him going. Let’s not judge him. Who is to say where the dividing line between genius and madness lies, nor how anyone stays on the right side of that line without help.

Here was a man at the centre of a perfect storm of expectations. The movie studios pitch their latest offerings to you on the backs of the stars who front them. Just think how much money rides on each star name. It used to be that a movie would only cost a few million. Now the production costs can pass $100m without pausing for breath. How does a young man in his twenties cope with that pressure? In 2000, he and Mel Gibson carried The Patriot at just $110m. Then he was headlining and on the run from the pack of celebrity magazines, gossip mongers and their paparazzi photographers who shred your privacy and compete with each other to catch you in your most unguarded moments.

The medical profession define social anxiety disorder as extreme anxiety about facing the judgement of others or behaving in a way that might cause you embarrassment or ridicule. How would you react if, everywhere you look or turn, you find a camera’s intrusive lens hoping to catch you in a moment that will sell a million magazines? Even the ordinary becomes the potentially extraordinary depending on how the camera captures it (and how some software package can manipulate it to make it more exploitable). When

you know that anything you do or say can and will be misinterpreted for another’s profit, is it any surprise that you reach for Xanax? I think not.

In fact, the whole movie industry is probably built on Xanax. Feeling nervous or anxious before you set foot outside your front door knowing you’ll be stalked by photographers wherever you go? Take a Xanax. That’s not agoraphobia threatening to keep you hiding away, is it? Take another Xanax. The next magazine you open has pictures of you getting (un)dressed in your bedroom. They were taken with a telephoto lens from the building opposite. That’s not the first sign of a panic attack is it? Draw the curtains and take another Xanax just to keep on living.

But you need the relationship between public and private to stay blurred. To carry the films, your name has to be on everyone’s lips. You have to be the eye candy for the media voyeurism. Drop from those celebrity magazines and gossip columns, and you’re no longer the bankable star. Where can you buy Xanax without someone taking a picture of you? Buy Xanax online. But Heath lost control, mixed his medications, took too much, and paid the price. Let that be a warning to you all. Stay alive by keeping control of your intake of Xanax and any other medications.

The one consolation in all this is that, even though Xanax was not able to keep poor Heath going, we still have the next Batman film to look forward to. By all accounts, Heath’s performance as the Joker in the Dark Knight is well worth the price of entry. Although there’s perhaps something inherently ironic about Xanaxman playing the Joker. Here’s a character so completely over-the-top, so excessive in his nature with all that malicious glee bubbling over into destructive energy. Did Heath have to take Xanax to act the part of someone who so obviously doesn’t take Xanax?

Five Steps To Achieving Bellyfat Loss

Five steps to achieving bellyfat loss

Embarassed by that extra roll of fat around your middle? There are more reasons why you should lose that fat than just because “bikini” season is around the corner or that your winter sweaters seem to hug more tightly. Actually, it’s your health that’s at stake. This report gives you the WHY and the HOW to conquer bellyfat fast!

You see them advertised in every magazine at the store – all those diet plans which claim to help you lose your belly fat in 6 days, 2 weeks…and on and on. Then there are the Ab machines and exercises! You’ve tried them all with little results and resigned yourself to the fact that they just don’t work for you. They all focus on the “before and after” — how slim and svelte you’ll look…

BUT the real reason you should be concerned is the effect belly fat has on your health and future:

Increased risk of chronic diseases

Belly fat leaves you with increased risk of developing diabetes, cardiac disease, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and even cancer. The more belly fat you accumulate, the greater risk of having low levels of “good cholesterol”, high levels of the “bad cholesterol”, and higher triglyceride levels… All factors leading to development of chronic and potentially fatal cardiac problems.

Let’s look at some other factors

How healthy is your Metabolism? And why is metabolism a key factor?

Have you noticed those guys and gals who can eat anything and still look like a super model? — it’s all due to the difference in their metabolism. Learn how to jumpstart your metabolism by eating the right kinds of fat-burning foods.

Do you know that while you’re asleep, your metabolism downshifts by up to 25 more calories so

sit up straight at your desk. You have to use more muscles for good posture so they tighten up your midsection.

3. Sip several cups of oolong or green tea throughout the day and rev up your metabolism. Studies show that drinking 5 cups of green tea a day whittles down that mid section faster than you cold imagine.

Add these fat-fighters to your diet

These fat-blasting ingredients help you lose that belly fat.

a) Olive Oil — the oleic acid in olive oil prolongs the feeling of fullness between meals.

b) Black Beans — great source of fiber and an antioxidant linked to hunger control.

c) Spice up your life– hot peppers increase metabolism by 25% and slashes cravings for salty, fat-producing foods.

d) Tomatoes — great source of carnitine and Vitamin C which are superior fat-burners.

More tips to boost belly-fat loss

More ideas to help blast that pudgy middle:

1. Eating one whole grapefruit everyday blocks the body’s ability to store fat.

2. Adding a few ounces of avocados to your daily diet helps speed breakdown of body fat.

3. Eat an apple 15 minutes before lunch — you’ll eat less calories (the chewing fools your brain into feeling fuller).

4. Choose an exercise routine that tightens your abs without building muscle and do the routines SLOWLY.

And… Dance! Dancing is great exercise and is so much fun!

Feeling overwhelmed? Introduce these changes a little at a time. Listen to your body and change your routine every few days so your system does not get too comfortable. Have fun with the suggestions for your diet– invent new recipes and watch how your body reacts. Don’t expect dramatic weight loss overnight. Relax, enjoy, and celebrate the new you when that “roll” disappears!

Fun, Fun, Fun: The Best Exercises for Quick Weight Loss

The best exercises for quick weight loss in my opinion are activities that you enjoy because you will be more apt to continue doing them over a long period of time.

Many people think that starting an exercise program will mean months of agony in front of them. However, staying active and being physically fit can and should be fun!

If you vary your exercise routine by choosing activities that you really enjoy, you will be more likely to stick with it. Don’t forget that movement doesn’t have be done in a gym, it can be done by adding new activities or bumping up the intensity, or adding extra steps to almost anything you are doing.

The benefits of exercise and being active include: increased muscle tone, weight loss, stress relief, an increase in personal satisfaction, and of course it will improve your inner body as well. (heart, lungs, and circulation)

My recommendations for the best exercises for quick weight loss include:

Dancing: Invite a few friends to go out for a night of dancing. A person weighing 180 pounds can burn approximately 193 calories after dancing at a night club for 30 minutes. Last year I took a country line dancing class which I enjoyed tremendously and I felt the health benefits almost immediately.

My friend’s daughter who is now in her 20’s has signed up to take ballet classes for the first time in her life. If ballet or line dancing isn’t your style look for dance classes and clubs in your community to include: hula, belly dancing, tap, jazz, modern, ballroom dancing, Irish step dancing, and square dancing. Dancing is a “feel-good” activity that is perfect for all body types and ages.

Bicycling: You can see how much fun it is

to ride a bike by watching children at play. They race, set up obstacle courses, and go over jumps. I am not suggesting that you have to “pop wheelies” again like you might have done in your younger days but it might be time to add bicycling to your regular work out routine. Biking is a wonderful family activity; in fact your kids will be thrilled if you suggest a “family bike hike” this upcoming weekend.

Golf: Ditch the golf cart and walk the course to reap the benefits of this wonderful sport!

Hiking: Hiking in the woods is one of my all-time favorite exercise activities. It allows you to enjoy nature and a 180 pound person will burn approximately 257 calories per half hour of trekking through the woods.

Gardening & Yard Work: Pushing a lawn mower around the yard, pulling weeds, trimming the hedges, raking leaves, and chopping wood are among the many calorie burners you can do in your yard. This is a win-win activity: a beautiful yard and a healthier you!

Racquet Sports: Grab a racquet and hit the courts! You can burn approximately 300 calories playing racquetball or tennis.

Skating: When was the last time you laced on a pair of skates? Rediscover this winter time activity and bring a child along for extra fun! This made me think of sledding. Wow, imagine the calories burned when you walk your sled back up the hill!

The list of fun exercise activities can go on and on. Try some to figure out which are your personal best exercises for quick weight loss…you might be surprised at how much fun exercise can be!

The Best Carbs For Low Carbers

With the popularity of low carb diets such as Atkins, The Zone, and South Beach, more and more people are becoming aware of the bad effects to the body of too much carbohydrate consumption. As people try to cut down on their carb intake, it should be noted that not all carbs are created equal.

In a nutshell, there are two kinds of carbohydrates, simple and complex. Some refer to them as bad and good carbs, fast and slow digestion carbs and other possibly confusing lingo. Here’s the scoop.

SIMPLE CARBS are those carbohydrates that are most often have low nutrient content and have high glycemic index such as white bread, cookies, pastries, candies, and sodas. They are quick to digest and can cause blood sugar to soar then fall dramatically within a short span of time. In order to keep the body running more healthy and stable, health advisors recommend that these types of foods be limited.

COMPLEX CARBS are those that contain many nutrients and have a low to moderate glycemic

index. Higher fiber content in these foods means slower digestion, which is healthier for the body. And these foods are considered good choices by health advisors. Examples of these complex carbs are whole grains, most fruits and vegetables. Legumes, plants of the pea or bean family, are also in this category.

While studies like one from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in January of 2004 show that low-carb diets can help with weight loss; the carbs need to be of the complex, low glycemic type.

It would be best to avoid simple carbs altogether. But if you just can’t stay away, you should at least eat them in moderation or in accordance with the advice of your dietary advisor or health practitioner.

Jun Lim manages a website called Low Carb Options that could show you exactly where you can get all your premium quality, low carb products so affordably that you’ll be able to afford a new wardrobe to match your new, super-slim figure by your summer vacation.

Weight Loss Workout Routine Benefits

Is a weight loss workout routine right for you? Answer the following questions to find out. Do you feel sluggish at the end of the day? Do you feel tired and stiff after a long day at work? Are you stressed out most of the time?

Too many days without adequate exercise, rest and fresh air can leave you feeling as tired on the inside as weak muscles feel on the outside. If you suffer from this kind of fatigue, try a weight loss workout routine and increase your whole body’s energy level.

If you want to shed extra pounds and tighten muscles, a weight loss workout routine, that combines a cardio workout and strength training, is perfect for you.

It could be just what the doctor ordered for extra energy, increased metabolism, and the feel good endorphins your body produces after exercise. Want to feel good all day? A weight loss workout routine is the way to do it.

It is easier than you think to achieve these extra benefits, and the best part is, you can do it at home. With a few pieces of quality home gym equipment, like a treadmill or an elliptical exerciser, you

could soon be seeing your muscles tone, your energy level boost, and your moods get much better.

Studies show that working out regularly reduces stress and helps you to handle adversity better. You’ll feel boosts in important neural chemicals all day long if you start home workouts like a treadmill workout program.

As you add strength training to your routine, you will see more fit muscles and longer, leaner body lines. This part of the weight loss workout routine will speed up your metabolism and increase your body’s ability to burn fat long after your workout.

A cardio workout routine followed by strength training helps your muscles metabolize the lactic acid that causes the burn and ache after a workout. These kinds of workouts are excellent for burning excess body fat. If you are looking for increased energy and decreased stress, a weight loss workout routine is the perfect choice for you.
